Haari Boats at the Hui Okinawa Picnic

On Sunday July 22, 2007, Hui Okinawa held it's annual picnic at the Wailoa State Park. Hilo's liquid sunshine didn't stop the fun and games. The Haari boat was brought out and members were able to take a spin around Wailoa River.  Members enjoyed lots of ono food, children's activities and Uchina games with lots of prizes. We even had guests join us from the Kohala Okinawa Kenjinkai.  Thank you to Kris Ortogero, general chairperson and her committee for putting this event together.  Click here to view more pictures.)
