BOWLING

The H.U.O.A. Mixed Handi-cap Bowling League still continuing their year round competition, and we end early November. Also, all you bowlers out their, I be coming around to take some photo's, so be sure to be there (Sun., June 26).


GOLF

The H.U.O.A. Memorial Day Golf Tournament completed on that weekend, and the banquet was a great success at the Jikoen Hongwanji Banquet Hall. Many words of thanks goes out to the Golf Committee and all their hardworking volunteers. "Mahalo For A Job Well Done"


SOFTBALL

The H.U.O.A. 14-Inch Slow Pitch Softball League just completed their bracket championships on June 12th. The following results of the championship playoff's are now final. I would like to congratulate The H.U.O.A. OVERALL LEAGUE CHAMPION FOR THE 2005 SEASON - GUSHIKAWA SHIJIN KAI (Blue Team). Second & Third Place winners along with Consolation Brackets A, B, C, & D champions are as follows.

a) Overall Second Place - Wahiawa

b) Third Place - Nakagusuku

c) Consolation "A" Champion - Haneji

d) Consolation "B" Champion - Hui Makaala II

e) Consolation "C" Champion - Urasoe

f) Consolation "D" Champion - Ginoza.

SOFTBALL BANQUET INFORMATION:
1) DATE: JUNE 25TH (SAT.)
2) TIME: 5:30 PM - ? (We will open at 4:00 pm if your wish to volunteer your services)
3) PLACE: JIKOEN HONGWANJI BANQUET HALL (1731 NORTH SCHOOL STREET, HON. HI. 96819)
4) MENU: FOODS OF THE ISLANDS (HAWAIIAN PLATE WITH RICE, BRING YOUR OWN POI - THERE'S A SHORTAGE).
5) COST: ADULTS - $13.00 / CHILDREN AGES 6 TO 12 YRS. - $5.00.
6) Remember: Banquet Open To All Members And Friends, Need Head Count No Later Than Wednesday June 22nd, Please Call The Sports Director/Hoc-676-5400.

*Note: H.u.o.a. Softball Post Season Meeting Schedule For July 2nd, 8:00am - 10:00am (Sat.) at the Jikoen Hongwanji Pre-School Classroom In rear of Banquet Hall. Managers/Coaches &  Assistant Coaches, should any of you have prior commitments and can not make this meeting, I encourage you to send a representative (We're preparing for the 2006 season).

TENNIS

The NEW H.U.O.A. TENNIS LEAGUE will have its first meeting on July 2nd, 10-am - 12-noon (Sat.) at the Jikoen Hongwanji located on north school street. The meeting will be held in the Pre-school classroom in rear of the Banquet Hall (following the Huoa softball league post season meeting). If interested, please try to make this meeting,  there will be important issues to be discussed. So, if interested and cannot make this meeting please forward your name and a number that you can be reached at (very important), no one wants to be left out!!!

VOLLEYBALL
The H.U.O.A. Mixed Volleyball League ended their season in mid April, and a new champion was declared with a trophy ceremony at Waipahu High School Gym. At this time, I like to Congratulate OVER LEAGUE CHAMPION GINOWAN SHIJIN KAI for doing a very fine job completing amoung all the other teams throughout the entire season and defeated 2004 champion Urasoe Shijin Kai (which held the championship position for several continuous years). Again, Congratulations on your victory, your club is very proud!
