Volunteers are a vital part of the Hawaii United Okinawa Association(HUOA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
As the umbrella organization for our state-wide 48 member clubs, the HUOA relies on the valuable services of our volunteers who carry on the many programs of the HUOA and the maintenance of our home, the Hawaii Okinawa Center. With a goal of preserving, promoting and perpetuating the Okinawan culture,
the HUOA depends on a wide variety of volunteers who contribute their expertise and skills to achieve our mission.
The HUOA and the Hawaii Okinawa Center has many interesting and rewarding volunteer opportunities.
The following are brief descriptions of our typical volunteer needs.
