Preserving Our Legacy annual fund covers the current operating costs for Hawaii Okinawa Center, ongoing programs and services that help to preserve our Okinawan community.  Among the events that HUOA presents are the Okinawan Festival, Children's Okinawan Cultural Day Camp, scholarship awards for the advancement of the Okinawan cultural arts, Uchinaaguchi class, sanshin class, Autumn Dance Matsuri, leadership and fellowship workshops for the development of young leaders and sports activities.

Interested in volunteering at Hawaii Okinawa Center, Okinawan Festival or any other HUOA sponsored events?  We welcome Uchinanchu and Uchinanchu at heart to become an active member of our Okinawan community. Hawaii United Okinawa Association is a non-profit cultural organization which is classified by the IRS as exempt under the IRS Section 501(c)(3). Therefore, donations from individuals and corporations, as well as grants from private foundations, qualify for maximum tax benefits allowable by the IRS.
