Notes by George Zakahi: "Each year at the shinnen enkai (New Year's party), members 70 years or older are recognized. In 1979, nineteen members were 80 years or older. All of our present officers are sansei. It is our hope that the younger generation will carry out club activities that are of interest to our sansei and yonsei, as well to our issei and nisei.
